Ritual Massage: Active vs Passive Healing

Sometimes you just want to lay on the table and have someone else do all the work.

When you’re muscles ache from over use or you’ve been on the go at full tilt and need to indulge in an hour or so of total relaxation, a passive massage from a skilled practitioner can be heavenly.  I get it. I really do.

There are hundreds, maybe thousands of qualified massage therapists that can provide you with that kind of massage experience but I’m not one of them.

Not because I’m not qualified to do so. But because it’s not my calling.

I am called to provide Ritual Massage; a holistic treatment that combines hands on massage integrated with various shamanic healing tools and techniques.  You can read more about it here.

For nearly all my life, I’ve know that my hands were meant for healing. There is no ego in that realization, just truth.

In truth, we are all healers.

This is true whether you make your living in a healing arts field or not!

My journey has demonstrated time and time again that each of has the power to facilitate our own healing; by ourselves or in partnership with skilled healers. I’ve also learned that deep, lasting healing can really only occur when we become an active participant in our process.

There are countless ways to actively participate in your own healing; a topic I never get tired of discussing. Feel free to reach out any time with questions or thoughts about being an active participant in your healing.
