A 13-moon journey honoring the Wise Woman years and transition into Elder
Crones are depicted in many ways – from ugly, toothless hags who devour children, to wise and beautiful queens, lovingly guiding others with the wisdom of their life-experience.
In ancient cultures, there was a place of power for the Crone – the elder woman who knows.
- She was a healer.
- She performed rites of passage into adulthood.
- She was an aid in the process of birth and death.
- She was a perpetual teacher by example.
In present day society, there does not seem to be a space of honor for elders.
What is the message society sends us about our value to the world at this stage? We are fed a steady diet designed to nourish the fear of aging, and the need to counteract it.
What do we have to look forward to when youth fades and mothering years pass? The message that we are valued as we age is absent from our cultural conversations.
The truth is, the gift of the Crone is as valuable now as it has ever been…perhaps more so! Embracing that truth begins with embracing it within ourselves, so that it may ripple into the world.
What to Expect from this Journey

What You’ll Experience
Each month for 13 months, we will gather for a 2 and a half-hour circle of wisdom via Zoom*. In a ritual setting that includes guided meditation and shared stories of our life and experience, we will:
- Leave the external world behind and descend into the interior, using the myth of Inanna as a metaphor to explore that inner landscape as we embark on a journey to transform memories into crone wisdom.
- Journey though the decades from childhood through adulthood, seeing how our experienced created neural circuits that have informed our choices, and how to consciously rewire those that inhibit health and happiness.
- Delve into the physical and emotional conflicts that accompany menopause, as we enter the most challenging and responsible stage of our lives; passing on wisdom in service to the survival of our communities and the world.
Who Should Attend
The curriculum is designed for women who are entering, or have passed through menopause.
When, Where and How We Will Meet
The second Monday of each month for 13 months from 7:00-9:30 pm beginning February 13th 2023.
We will meet in a “virtual” circle using the online meeting platform ZOOM (If you are not familiar with this tool, don’t worry. I will provide complete instructions on how to use it.)
Space is limited to ensure an intimate container where everyone can comfortably participate during each session.
Requirements for Participation
- Internet access that will support using a streaming service.
- Ability to attend every session (barring a genuine emergency.)
- Commitment to actively participate each week and complete homework between sessions.
Investment Requirements
As you weigh your decision to do this work, it is important to consider all the ways you’ll need to invest.
To begin with, the richness of this experience hinges on the depth of commitment each participant brings to it. Therefore, I suggest you answer these questions first.
- Are you wiling to arrange your schedule in order to attend all 13 Circle meetings? (for privacy reasons, our meetings will not be recorded)
- In addition to the time we meet in the Circle, are you willing to commit an additional 2-3 hours per week in self-reflection?
- Are you willing to be an active participant during our Circle meetings, as a witness to others and to be witnessed by others?
Only after you have clear answers to those questions, will you be able to decide if $30/month is a worthwhile investment in your Crone.

It is important to me that the energy of healing and growth remain separated from the energy of economics. Therefore, payment for the entire 13 months is required in advance.
